No, I think we're in agreement about that. There's assuredly a catch — and they're quite deliberately not telling us what it is.

As one of them put it, we need to be sensate enough to still be torturable, and apparently that includes still being able to do things like drink and eat. For all we know they're just double killing us with alcohol poisoning, or it's just the kind of long torture where we're promised something unattainable and end up miserable over it.

Still worth seeing where things go, in my opinion. What else are we going to do when we're dead?
