And it is-- we don't use words like is, are, were, or likewise in our grammar. We use suffixes for tense, instead. For example... anari, 'to speak or reveal', and a, for 'you'. Anari'a is 'you speak', anarilu'a is 'you spoke', anaridu'a is 'you are speaking', and anarisu'a would be 'you will speak'. In use with other words-- anarisu'a anar would translate roughly to 'you will speak the word'.

[for reference, the Thing his voice does at the apostrophes is a slight stop between syllables.]

Pixie does something similar with its possessives. So the root remains the same, whatever follows it adds the tense, and the subject follows last. Anaridu'a, "speaking-you".

Now, I'll be kinder than you and tip my hand a bit: pixie possessives are a bit like what you do with "you" and "I", added onto the end. "r" denotes your, "d" is his or hers, "m" is my.

The last assistance I'll offer is that akt-ra krak works out roughly to an imperative. I told you to finish — what you were saying, specifically.

So ul-m is your... something, in that case. If the imperative's separate, then treating it as a separate, verb-first phrase...

If r is 'your', that makes ra something different. The imperative's treated as the verb and krak would be 'finish' rather than it being akt.

"Ra" is what makes it the imperative, yes. Do-"command you" finish.

Pixies conceptualize light and the sun in the same way, with the same word. The same for darkness and the moon — the same word can be used for either. Sigun is sun or light. Ul is moon or darkness.

Belore'dalah in pixie is sigun-m. The reason why I'm more the charmer is I mentioned you were beautiful while I was at it.
