[he's just got one arm propped on the table, chin in his palm, staring down at another book. the gloves are, as always, on, but his arms are still bandaged like they were yesterday, visible through rips in the sleeves.]

...Not that it means there wasn't anything strange. But for now, that's all I got from him.

I think he's the type who'd tell you the title, let you assume what it's about, and then watch your reaction to it when you realize what it really is.
