It's certainly annoying to have to get by without healing magic...
[He doesn't react when Rynlan starts plucking feathers off. He's probably going to have to learn to use the laundry machines later...
... However, when Rynlan plucks one from atop Zelgadis's shoulder, something happens.
A tiny, shadowy appendage strikes out from behind Zelgadis's neck, swiping at Rynlan's hand (or perhaps at the feather he just picked up). It flails a few times in several quick motions, then disappears, slipping back into the hood of his cloak.]
A moment passes, and the shadowy creature springs out of his hood again, swiping and gnawing at another feather stuck to his shoulder. This time, it stays in view long enough to be identified.]
[he takes the kitten carefully, keeping the feather in hand so that he holds its interest. hello tiny baby... he looks so pleased to be holding this little creature.]
Here. I'll babysit while you get the syrup and feathers off, then let's see if we can't get it fed.
[don't thank HIM this is officially the best day he's had in hell... he's just going to play with and dote on this kitten until zelgadis finishes up and comes back.
it's likely worn out and snoozing by then, after plenty of playtime.]

Not badly. Flying glass shards from a broken mirror-- grazed me, mostly.
[but glass cuts definitely bleed. the fabric wrapped around his arms has a slight purple tint here and there.]
Mild electrocution and some bruising, besides that, but also minor.

he immediately melts, reaching up to wave the feather for it to bat at with a little smile.]
Well, hello, and who are you-? Have you named it?

Zelgadis just shakes his head. Nope, no name.]

[a kitten in hell is POSSIBLY not just some sad little animal.
he ignores the possibility.]
I haven't seen any fish around, but-- well, I'm sure there's something it'll eat. There's meat, at least.

... Guess I'll try the food court later.
[This kitty will dine on McNaldo's patties or... something.
... Anyway it can restrain itself no longer, and it starts batting eagerly at the feather.]

[he is a cat owner he knows very well that it will be fine, and yet.]
If you need an eye kept on it while you clean up, I've had several before.

[He picks up the kitten and holds it out. Please babysit this creature. He has no idea what he's doing.]
