It's natural to be closer to some than others. I didn't know the kid, I was almost more-- concerned someone had tried to pick off a weak target. Worried about who might have decided to kill him specifically.

Yeah, I think that’s a pretty legitimate concern. Just because it doesn’t end someone’s entire existence doesn’t mean we should start a race to get there.

If someone jumps the gun and decides it’s not a big deal anymore, they’re forgetting they’re taking that person’s chance to get out of here. Maybe that doesn’t matter to everyone, I know, but it’s still cruel.
It's cruelty no matter how you look at it. We're already dead, sure, but putting someone through it again?

Pretty sure most of us do. A few exceptions, yes, but-- I think overall, there'd be no point offering some sort of chance if enough of us weren't willing to take it.
