I have approximately twenty embarrassing bones out of two hundred and something!
[ help ]
You don't have to convince me of that. Shouldn't you be making that argument to the lovely Miss Uriel instead? She seems to put quite a bit of stock in its accuracy.
Of course the relationship dynamics are different, but as far as I'm concerned, the "different kinds of love" are just attachments with varying levels of intensity.
I don't know about that. Intense platonic love is still a different thing from intense romantic love, nevermind that the entire dynamic's different with someone who can return it versus something that can't quite do that in the same way.
See, you're proving my point for me right now. You can say you don't do the whole love thing either, but when it comes down to it, you still have a sentimental — one could say almost human! — view of the idea and feel the need to defend it.

[bold words from a man whose face is faintly purple.]
It's an embarrassment to imply that, is all that it is.

[ he ISN'T, because what is shame, but ]
Half of those feelings they pretended to show you were supposed to be mine, and I didn't even consent to being a part of this!

[he says before stopping to consider that okay, maybe there is a point to what he's saying. i'm dying over the persuasion move.]
...But I suppose that is true. Still, it doesn't mean anything-

[he's just like this.]
She does, doesn't she. I suppose it would be easy enough to prove, though, there's no way it would match up if you did the same.

[ and he's just like this. ]
Technically there is a one in one hundred chance!

[god.]
Knowing my luck it would be that one in a hundred chance, too, and she'd never let it go.

It's certainly 1% possible!
In any case, if you just confess to her that you were thinking about me, perhaps she'll understand that it can't have been an accurate reading.

[wait a second.]
Hold on, why do you object to it that much?
[it was slow in coming but now he's offended at the thought that obviously he wouldn't be into ryn either]

[ YOU DON'T LOVE HER?? ]

You know exactly what I meant!

Love is love, isn't it?

[just saying.]
You should differentiate the ways you love a pet and a person, anyway, you can't claim those are equivalent.

[one ear flicks, watching him with a little curiosity.]
Do you mean it in a more literal way-- do you just not engage in it or do you actually not feel it?
